Safety Boat Rota

Easter saw the start of this years Dinghy Training Programme with 11 new sailors taking to the water. Senior Instructor Gerry Knight with the assistance of CYC instructors put the students ranging in age from ten to fifty five, through the 4 day course with all qualifying with RYA levels/Stage 1 & 2 Certificates.

At a barbeque afterwards, held in honour of the new sailors, family and friends were inducted into the club with the group being presented with their RYA Logbooks and welcomed aboard. The group has continued with their training, racing on Sunday afternoons and receiving extra tuition at Wednesday evening sailing classes.

August saw the continuation of this years Dinghy Training Programme with a further 8 new sailors taking to the water. Our senior instructor for the weekend was Patricia Garett who kindly assisted with the course. We would like to welcome the new sailors into the club and hope that they will continue with our ongoing sailing programme
